A follow up to last Sunday's teaching - WHAT DO YOU SEE?
If you see an apple you're only seeing part of the reality. If you see a future orchard, then you're starting to get it. Built within God's creation is reproduction and multiplication. If this is true for fruit, how much more true for us as Christ followers. Built into your DNA is reproduction and multiplication of the gospel. Sure, it is God that changes hearts, but He has chosen to use us. We shouldn't see "little ol' me" that can't possibly do something significant for God, we should see the world of possibilities that God has infused into His design. The gospel bears fruit. It grows. It expands. It happens through God's Spirit moving through us. Do we get that? Do we see the significant role we GET TO PLAY? It's our hope that we will see more and more of us embracing our true identities as ambassadors of Christ. We have been sent out with good news to proclaim, to herald. May we be faithful to this calling and revel in the joy that is ours "in Christ."
I'll leave you with a question - love to get some responses in the comments...
Why do you think we tend to see only the apple and not the orchard when it comes to our influence on the culture?
